The Steady Dad

A small-group coaching cohort for dads who want their home to feel calmer and steadier — with a simple weekly rhythm you can actually sustain.

Starts Tue, Feb 24 8 weeks (Feb 24 – Apr 14) Led by Mike + John

Not therapy. Coaching. Practical rhythms, better language, calmer leadership at home. Faith can be included if you want it — optional, never forced.

Mike and John with their families
Real dads. Real families. Real life.

Who this is for

This is for you if

  • You’re providing, but you feel your presence slipping.
  • Your patience is thinner than it used to be.
  • You want your wife to feel backed — but you’re not sure what helps.
  • You want a plan that fits real life, not a perfect schedule.
  • You’re tired of “trying harder” with no structure.

This is not for you if

  • You want a quick motivational hit without change.
  • You’re unwilling to practice small actions weekly.
  • You’re looking for anonymous content only (no coaching).
  • You’re hoping your home changes without you changing.

What you get inside the cohort

Weekly small-group coaching call

One call per week led by Mike + John. Clear focus, real coaching, and a plan for the next 7 days.

A simple weekly rhythm

You’ll build a repeatable rhythm that brings calm back into your home — without adding 47 habits.

Language that lowers tension

Scripts and frameworks to de-escalate, repair, and lead with calm strength.

Optional faith integration

If meaningful to you, we’ll incorporate faith. If not, it stays fully practical.

The 8-week roadmap

This is the sequence we’ll walk through so the change sticks.

Weeks 1–2: Stop the loop
Clarity

Identify your patterns and build a plan to interrupt them earlier.

  • Your “trigger map” (what spikes your temperature)
  • Recovery plan for when you mess up
  • One rhythm that lowers friction immediately
Weeks 3–4: Lead with calm strength
Presence

What to do in the moment when the house gets loud and you’re running thin.

  • Language that de-escalates instead of escalates
  • Boundaries with warmth (not shutdown)
  • How to steady the room without losing yourself
Weeks 5–6: Become a better teammate
Support

Support moves that actually help your wife feel backed.

  • Understanding her load without guessing wrong
  • Your “support moves” list (repeatable + specific)
  • Repair conversations that rebuild connection
Weeks 7–8: Lock in the weekly rhythm
Rhythm

Make it sustainable through the next season of life.

  • Your Steady Dad weekly rhythm
  • How to stay steady when life punches back
  • 30-day plan after the cohort ends

Enrollment

This cohort is capped at 12 dads so we can coach you, not broadcast at you. If you’re a fit, you’ll get a seat. If not, we’ll point you to the right next step.

If you prefer to talk first, book the call. If you already know you want in, apply.

FAQ

Is this therapy?
No. This is coaching. We focus on actions, rhythms, language, and leadership at home.
How much time does this take?
One weekly call plus small actions (usually 10–20 minutes a few times a week). No busywork.
Can faith be part of it?
Yes, optional. If you want it, we’ll include it. If not, we keep it fully practical.
What if I miss a call?
You’ll still have the weekly focus and next steps. If you miss, we’ll help you re-enter without shame.
What if I’m not sure I’m a fit?
Book the free fit call. We’ll tell you the truth and map a next step either way.
